Really friendly staff and great customer service! Definitely know what they are doing, I’ve been to so many car garages that just turned me away without properly looking at my vehicle but these guys gave me the time and sorted my car out for me. Would 100% recommend it to family and friends! And will definitely be using them again when needed.

Highly recommended. Briefly, I bought a vehicle from a dealer. I took it to Rivers Cars as they are specialists for that model. Within a couple of hours they had identified that the vehicle had suffered a bodged repair and needed a replacement engine. They provided a written report and photographic evidence of the faults. They even assisted in arranging transport back to the dealers. I am very grateful to Ian, Jeanette and Matt for the their professionalism, knowledge and support. A proper garage that goes above and beyond. Steve

Really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. They managed to find me a last minute MOT slot, which helped me out tremendously. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently. I will certainly used them in future. Very impressed and highly recommended.

I was recommended Rivers Cars to do the oil pump conversion on my Ranger. Service was great and they've done a proper job, if you have a 2.2 or 3.2 Ford I'd highly recommend getting it done here so you don't have to worry about it failing.

They fit me in within a few hours notice for an MOT, afterwards the mechanic gave me details about a potential problem with the oil filter along with some general advice, and he seemed very knowledgeable. Receptionist kind and knowledgeable. Can't fault the service, and was warm and welcoming. The MOT was on offer too, so a bit cheaper than expected.

Took my Ranger in for an oil pump. They recovered and fixed it for a reasonable price and very quickly. Found all staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. Won’t hesitate to use them again

Worse experience ever, been there for couple of years but I never been so disappointed, Booked my car there to investigate my squeaky brakes, outcome- nothing wrong with the brakes receptionist told me mechanic took it out for a test drive. Bill to pay £45 -payed,even though my brakes still making squeaking noises. Never asked for anything else, they knew from previous appointment I had an issue with my window regulator, and decided to somehow lower it down to his maximum so I can't bring it up unless I buy new one to fix it. They quoted me months ago £150 for a window regulator... This time thought if is nothing wrong with brakes and the car's there fix everything at the same time , receptionist gave me a new quote of £196.40 TOTAL for a window regulator, she needs to order it first.,..I said go ahead,(my mind was never asked to check anything inside the car or with windows just to check my brakes) Receptionist gave me a call your car is ready to pick up.. My second bill was £280.79,and I have asked the lady you gave me a £197 quote why is it gone up ..she said I think it was a misunderstanding somewhere, the labour took longer, plus was really hard to find it is an old car ,plus the vat.... Yeap, ending up paying £325 for a window regulator and...... ......whatever.

Rang up this morning to just enquire about a van I'd seen on Autotrader, spoke to the office receptionist who seemed lovely - was advised to ring Ian on a mobile number for more info which I did. I found Ian to be abrupt, short and very dismissive of my enquiry. Van stated to be available for part-ex which I was interested in against my current vehicle (valued at approx the same listed price). Was told that although the van is advertised for £5k, it's actually worth £7k and there'd be no chance of part-ex'ing. Seems extremely misleading to have a vehicle for sale at one price and then value it at another! I was told 'you've rang up coz we sell the cheapest vans in the country' almost like I'd done something wrong - not sure why you'd advertise something if you didn't want people to get in touch? I generally don't leave bad reviews but when a simple enquiry phone call is shot down so dismissively then it leaves quite a sour taste in your mouth. I must state this isn't a review for their mechanic's workmanship - just a note on customer service! Edit following reply: Just to clarify I didn’t say ‘I don’t need to part exchange to buy the van’. In fact I said the opposite at the end of our conversation which was, ‘I will leave it then as I will need to sell the car to fund the van and I don’t want to waste your time.’ Also still don’t understand your pricing structure; if you’re not happy taking approx £2k under the ‘average value’ then why advertise at that price? Seems very convoluted and confusing but maybe I’m missing something. Thanks for the reply and all the best.

They are truly amazing! Very kind and professional. I’ve been to 5~6 different garages near this area to fix my Audi, they are the only one that fixed it with reasonable price. They will be my go-to garage whenever I have a problem!

Real mechanics helping real people! I was so impressed with Matthew, Ben, and Mark, after they sorted out my brakes at short notice, going the extra mile to make sure my car was safe after a supplier had sent a faulty replacement. Their first priority was to make sure me and the car were ok, rather than trying to squeeze more money out of me, like many dealerships do. I can't recommend them highly enough.
