Fantastic store! 100% people staffed check outs and zero self check out machines, just the way it should be. I just want to give a hug to this store manager for keeping shopping experience pleasant and human instead of an episode of Black Mirror lol Also great variety of products for great prices! This is a great store. It's always well stocked. Clean, with a good atmosphere. Mercifully, no self-service checkouts for the moment.

Always love a little shop at Lidl. Really like their products, and the prices are always better on the pocket! Abd in nabt cases the products are better quality

Good store . Could put more people on check outs

I popped on here last night (03/10/2023) for a bottle of wine on the way home. I had been out cycling and had a small backpack with me. I went to the wine aisle and spent a few minutes choosing a bottle of wine - as there were a few good offers on and I don't like wines that are too high in tannins, so kept referring to my phone for information. When I got to the till to PAY (I have the receipt) for my selected bottle of wine, I was asked 'do you have anything you shouldn't in your backpack'. Basically being accused of stealing items and placing them in my bag. I was absolutely annoyed at this and stated I was offended at being accused of such a thing. Shoplifters do not stand at the checkout waiting to PAY for items they have selected. They are in and out as quickly as possible with the items they have lifted. What got me the most is I had a short conversation with the same staff member last time I was there, about the issues they had been having! Whilst I appreciate shoplifting is on the increase and usually by the same old known faces, this does not give the staff the right to falsely imply you have shoplifted goods. Usually there has to be some kind of evidence or proof - seeing someone hide an item upon their person, or walking out of goods with no intention to pay - before accusations, or action can be taken. Just because someone has come in post 9pm with a small backpack is NOT grounds for falsely implying someone has been stealing items. I have worked in retail for over seven years in the past, so have some experience of this. If Lidl are that concerned, then they should stop being so damn stingy and pay for an in-store security guard as a deterrent and to provide staff and customers with a sense of feeling of security in the store. The losses of lifted items over the year would probably more than pay for a full time guard. Not falsely accuse innocent people of stealing items without proof. I'm now tempted to take my custom to Aldi instead, even though it is further away. If I do decide to visit again and the same thing happens, I'll be making a formal complaint to Lidl HQ.

Some good produce but not as cheap as they make out and it's a complete jumble in many places, not good for anyone who likes order!!

Best place for getting your food shopping done. Staff is generally friendly and always helpful. There is a good variety of products in store, some of which are far superior in quality to both what their prices would let you expect and to other market-leading alternatives. What could make it even better? Well, there is no air-conditioning in this store (as opposed to the Portland store, which has got it). That said, there is no real need, is there? given the non-existent summer we're getting. What would really make the difference would be to restock the items that run out on the shelves, right on the day. I don't know if this is even possible though, I'm not sure I've even seen any supermarket doing it. Recommended.

Prices are just crazy cheap always my 1st shop to.go to before trying others Review 5 years ago << Lidl still one of the cheapest places to go and get daily groceries, meat, fish still fairly cheap and many options to choose from, yes some days things can run out pretty quick. Quality is still there. Downside sometimes is that long que for payment. Still recommended after 6 parking is free and Sundays full day free.

I most of the times go there to buy daily groceries remains always disappointed. Store does not give a tidy and professional look. Shelfing cages remains at the store floor. Most of the times only one till remains open for checkouts. Staff is friendly, store remains low in milk stocks.
